First sprint
Hello everyone.
As I mentioned in the road map, a giant list of unsorted bullet points isn't a great way to actually make progress on a project, so I'm going to try working in two week sprints. This then, is the plan for the first sprint.
The first point I want to work towards is the palette swapping. It's not really an important feature on its own, but I'll have plenty of chances to tweak other things along the way, and it'll get me some nice screenshots. Also, there's some non-game-dev stuff that needs doing. I want to set up a Patreon page before the pricing structure changes. I'm not quite sure I'll use it yet, but I don't want to miss the chance to get in on the old plan.
So, the specific issues I'll be focusing on are:
- Set up a Patreon page.
- Replace all the graphics with grey-scale copies.
- Set up an extra surface to draw to.
- Write a recoloring shader.
- Make an in-game menu to control the shader.
I'm still getting used to my new schedule at my day job, so I'm not really sure whether or not this is an appropriate list for these two weeks, but we'll see. I'll report back in on May 13th.
